Vanesa Gimbert Acosta is a Spanish football midfielder, currently playing for RCD Espanyol in Spain's Primera División.[1] She previously played for Levante UD, CFF Estudiantes, Sevilla FC and Rayo Vallecano. She has won 4 leagues with Levante and Rayo.
Gimbert was a member of the Spanish national team since a young age, taking part at 17 in the 1997 European Championship.[2] She was the team's captain in the 2009 European Championship qualifying.[3]
